Call for Papers: Special Issue ESPLAT Conference 2025

Psychology Learning and Teaching - Scientific Thinking in Challenging Times

We invite presenters of the ESPLAT Conference 2025 to submit contributions based on their papers and posters to a Special Issue in Psychology Learning and Teaching (https://journals.sagepub.com/home/plj). All submissions will undergo the usual peer-review process.


Please, first submit an abstract with max. 600 words (excluding references). The abstract should cover the following sections: (1) Objectives or purposes, (2) Perspective(s) or theoretical framework, (3) Methods, techniques, or modes of inquiry, (4) Data sources, evidence, objects, or materials, (5) Results, (6) Scientific or scholarly significance of the study or work.


In addition, please indicate the type of contribution you intend to submit: In this Special Issue, PLAT publishes research articles, reviews, and reports (please consult the PLAT website for detailed information on type of contribution, https://journals.sagepub.com/author-instructions/PLJ). The editorial team will pre-review the abstracts and give feedback to the authors.


Timeline for the ESPLAT 2025 Special Issue:

  • Submission of abstracts until November 21st, 2025

  • Feedback from guest editors to authors by November 28th, 2025

  • Submission of papers until January 9th, 2026.

  • In a first round of reviews, authors will receive feedback from two peer reviewers and the editors until February 28th, 2026.

  • Revisions by authors need to be finished until May 15th, 2026

  • A second round of reviews, if necessary, will be concluded and the final editorial decisions will be made until July 31st, 2026.

  • The Special Issue is planned to be published in the November Issue of PLAT 2026.
